The Ohio University Student Equity Management Group manages an equity portfolio
of roughly $1.3 million (06/2008) of the university's assets under a concentrated
portfolio strategy. It is directed at generating consistent risk-adjusted returns
in excess of broader equity benchmarks.
The Group, founded in late 2001, was allocated its first funds in March of
2002. Since inception, OUSEMG has generated approximately $300,000 (06/2008) in
capital gains and $47,104 of dividend income, which supports scholarships, research
grants, and other initiatives of the Ohio University Foundation.
Our Mission
OUSEMG seeks to cultivate a highly engaging academic society and culture that
challenges its members in areas of advanced financial topics. Further, the Group
seeks to leverage its investment directive to pursue value-adding activities directed
at the university, its members, and its alumni.
